About the experience

This 90-minute experience can be privately booked from April to October inclusive. Start your Rockpool Safari adventure here! Join seasoned rockpooling guide Ingrid Allan at some of the best spots for shoreline wildlife in Sussex. All the family can get involved in the search for marine creatures such as Atlantic Rock Shrimp, Beadlet Anenome, Shore Crab, Shanny, and even the chance of Common Starfish and Brittlestar. Rockpool Safaris are ideal for birthday parties and special occasions, but the experience is also an exciting and memorable way to get hands-on with nature as a family. Our selected locations have easy access to public toilets, and snacks and light refreshments will be provided. After a short safety briefly, we will follow the tide out for a 90-minute session of rockpool exploration. Included during the experience: • Nets for each participant to catch amazing creatures • Buckets and jars for everyone, to hold your finds until it's time to let them go • Magnifying glasses to see every detail Plus you can keep: • Specially made ID charts and checklist • Children's certificates for rockpooling discoveries • A special 'rockpool roundup' of the session with photos of the creatures found! (This is emailed to you after the session) Pricing: • Up to four children: £60 • Up to 10 children: £90 • Adults are free Please note at least one adult attendee must accompany every two children. Accompanying adults are responsible for their children. We recommend you ensure that you and your children wear sturdy, waterproof footwear and appropriate clothing for the weather, as well as sun cream. You may wish to wear shorts as we may wade through shallow water. Please bear in mind session availability depends on the tide times.
