The Peregrine Tree

Back to Pulborough, this time we were with Graham and Kerri for a Sussex Birding Mini-Trip. It was an overcast but mild and calm day with plenty to see, notching up 58 species in our three hours of birding!

This magnificent adult female Peregrine Falcon was in the famous 'Peregrine Tree' at Pulborough as it digested its last catch.

This drake Pintail was one of dozens of this fine northern duck

Wigeon were out in force, grazing on the lush margins

This high-flying flock of Golden Plovers was an unexpected highlight

Song Thrushes gave lovely views

Fattengates Courtyard was busy with birds like Chaffinches and Great Tits coming to the seed on offer.
