Pulborough photo blog

We had the pleasure of two wonderfully calm and bird-filled days at Pulborough Brooks with Jennifer last week. The floods were full of Pintail, Wigeon, Shoveler and Teal, while raptors like White-tailed Eagle, Peregrine Falcon and Merlin dashed around the floodplain. The wooded areas offered up enchanting views of Goldcrests, Coal Tits and Treecreepers. You could tell it was late autumn as Fieldfares, Redwings and Redpolls flew here and there. We couldn't have hoped for much better!

One of the best moments came when two Goldcrests were gleaning from lichen-covered twigs just at an arm's length from us!
