Summer evenings on the South Downs can offer so many special moments. Tonight's stroll near Worthing was pretty magical. From the hillside sprinkled with Pyramindal Orchids, a Quail belted out its "wet-my-lips" song, while Corn Buntings and a couple of Grey Partridges chimed in. As twilight swept in, a family of Badgers came out to play. Once it was dark, a trail of Glow-worms by the track led us back to the car while bats foraged overhead.
